Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Strangely, a service operated by Tribecamp Inc. ("Tribecamp", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("General Terms") define the contractual relationship between Tribecamp and any person ("User", "you", or "your") accessing and using our platform and services (collectively, the "Services").

By ticking the acceptance box during registration, you agree to these General Terms. If you do not agree with all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.

Additional conditions may apply for certain features or events. In case of conflict, those additional conditions prevail.

These General Terms apply exclusively, overriding any other terms. Failure by Tribecamp to enforce a right at any time shall not be deemed a waiver of such right in the future.

1. Alignment with Third-Party Terms

If you download or access the Strangely mobile app through a third-party platform (such as Apple App Store or Google Play), you acknowledge that:

• The third party is not a party to these General Terms.
• The third party has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• We are solely responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including legal compliance and user complaints.
• Payments, refunds, or withdrawal rights handled by the third party are subject to that platform's terms.

2. Eligibility

By using Strangely, you confirm that:

• You are an individual (not a company or organization) aged 18 or above, or of legal age to enter into a binding contract in your country of residence.
• You have not committed, been convicted of, or currently face charges for serious, violent, or sexual offenses.
• You have not been previously banned from Strangely unless explicitly authorized in writing by Tribecamp to rejoin.
• You are not prohibited by law from using online social or communication services.

If at any time you cease to meet these requirements, your access to Strangely may be automatically revoked, and we may delete your account without prior notice.

3. Description of Services

Strangely enables users to join small group video calls with strangers matched based on personality, availability, and preferences, to encourage meaningful conversations.

While we strive to provide high-quality matches, we cannot guarantee:

• Compatibility with other participants.
• Meeting only new people each time (you may be matched with someone you've met before).
• A specific group size or gender/age ratio for every hangout.

4. Booking Hangouts

• Access to hangouts is available only through the Strangely platform.
• Bookings open and close as indicated on the platform. Spots are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
• We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a hangout due to unforeseen circumstances, such as technical issues or low attendance.
• Any attempt to attend with additional participants without prior arrangement is prohibited.

5. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

• You may cancel your reserved spot during the cancellation period shown on the platform. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed using the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
• Cancellations after the permitted period are non-refundable.
• Repeated late cancellations or no-shows (3 or more within 2 months) may result in suspension or permanent banning from Strangely.

6. Messaging and Post-Hangout Connections

Strangely may provide a private messaging feature to connect with participants from past hangouts. You agree to:

• Use messaging respectfully and in compliance with these Terms.
• Avoid harassment, solicitation, or sharing harmful or illegal content.
• Accept that Tribecamp is not responsible for relationships or communications that occur after leaving the platform.

7. Technical Services

• We provide corrective and adaptive maintenance to keep the platform functional and improve features over time.
• Scheduled maintenance or unexpected outages may temporarily restrict access to Strangely.
• Updates may be required to continue using the app optimally.

8. Financial Terms

Pricing

• Prices for services are listed on the platform and may vary based on your location and selected event type.
• Discounts or promotions may be time-limited.

Payments

• Payments via mobile app stores are processed by the relevant third party (Apple, Google). Any withdrawal or refund rights must be exercised directly with them.
• Payments on our website may be handled by third-party payment processors. Automatic renewals, if applicable, will be charged accordingly.

Non-payment

Failure to pay may result in immediate suspension of your access to hangouts until payment is resolved.

9. User Obligations

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.
• Keep your login credentials secure. Any activity under your account is your responsibility.
• Comply with applicable laws and our community guidelines during hangouts and messaging.

Avoid:

• Impersonating others or misrepresenting information.
• Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or harmful behavior.
• Sharing illegal, explicit, or harmful content.
• Recording or sharing conversations without explicit consent from all participants.
• Attempting to hack, disrupt, or misuse the platform.
• Using Strangely for commercial solicitation, spam, or political campaigning.

Violations may result in immediate removal or legal action where necessary.

10. Our Obligations

We aim to deliver safe, high-quality services by:

• Continuously improving the platform and monitoring reported harmful behavior.
• Protecting user data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
• Taking action to investigate and address any violations of these Terms.

However, we are not responsible for:

• The behavior, comments, or actions of other participants during or after hangouts.
• Network issues, device malfunctions, or third-party service disruptions beyond our control.

11. Intellectual Property

All platform content, including text, logos, designs, and software, is owned by Tribecamp Inc. or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use Strangely for personal, non-commercial purposes. Reproducing, redistributing, or exploiting Strangely's content or branding without our written consent is strictly prohibited.

12. Use of Personal Attributes

By attending Strangely events, you consent to being recorded or photographed only where explicit consent is requested and given for promotional purposes. We will never use your name, image, or likeness publicly without your approval.

13. Data Protection

Tribecamp Inc. complies with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where applicable. Details on how we process and protect personal data are provided in our Privacy Policy.

14. Termination of Services

• By You: You may cancel your subscription or account at any time through the platform settings. Ongoing periods are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.
• By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, misuse the platform, or harm other users.

15. Modifications to Terms

We may amend these Terms with at least 30 days' notice (for subscriptions) or immediately for single-use services. Continuing to use Strangely after changes take effect indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Liability

• Tribecamp Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of Strangely.
• Our total liability for direct damages shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the incident.
• Strangely is provided "as is," without guarantees of compatibility, outcome, or uninterrupted availability.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Any dispute shall first attempt to be resolved amicably. Failing that, disputes will be brought before the competent courts of Florida.
